Proposals to repurpose and fully restore Tipperary Courthouse & Bridewell have been welcomed in Tipperary Town, with MooreHaven set to become the new custodians of the historic buildings. An architect led design team is currently working on plans that will see the Courthouse & Bridewell campus repurposed as a hub for adults with intellectual disabilities, bringing a long vacant building back into everyday use. The project is a partnership between MooreHaven, Tipperary County Council and Tipperary Town Revitalisation.
Tipperary County Council have been awarded € 200,000 under the Department of Rural and Community Developments Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure Scheme (ORIS) to upgrade the existing Tipperary Town to Limerick Junction walkway.
