In October 2022 Tipperary Town Revitalisation Task Force, Tipperary County Council and The Heritage Council held a Vacancy Workshop in the Tipperary Excel Heritage Centre aimed at owners of vacant, underused or derelict properties in Tipperary Town. The event highlighted supports and incentives to bring properties back in to use, along with providing advice and guidance on planning, fire and other regulations, along with providing some good examples from Tipperary Town and other areas.
The event was attended by nearly fifty people, and is a follow on from the Collaborative Town Centre Health Check (CTCHC) developed by Alison Harvey and the Heritage Council. The CTCHC measures key indicators in the town including building vacancy, footfall, business and consumer sentiment.
